Lawrence Academy WR Marcus Grant received a scholarship offer to the University of Iowa yesterday. The 2009 Orange Bowl Champions are the second team to come calling on Marcus, UCONN being the first.

Players Receiving National Recognition

Albert Louis-Jean – Brockton
Albert dominated in man to man coverage against some of the top receivers on the east coast. He led the team with 3 interceptions. He also had 5 pass break ups. He also caught 1 touchdown as a wide receiver.

Brockton and Bridgewater-Raynham make it offiicial for Thanksgiving

A press conference was held this afternoon at the Cape Cod Café in Brockton to finalize the deal that will bring the Brockton Boxers and the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans together for a Thanksgiving rivalry.

As was reported by HSS Insight last April, the two schools will face off each Thanksgiving morning for the next 10 years. The Trojans are pleased because they have been without a real rivalry game on Thanksgiving for some time.

More than a week after National Signing Day Rivals.com has announced its Rivals250 to Watch in 2011. For those who don’t know Rivals.com is the premier national high school football recruiting site. The Rivals250 is a list of the countries top high school football players. Massachusetts has two players on that list of 250 high school football plyers, to no ones surprise Brockton’s Albert Louis-Jean is one and Andover’s Brian Miller is the other.
